Meet the Attorneys

Brian S. Steinberger, Patent Partner

Brian S. Steinberger started his intellectual property firm over 25 years ago, specializing in patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.

He formerly worked as a Patent Examiner for 9 years at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, leaving the Office as a Senior Primary Patent Examiner. He is a member of the Florida, Pennsylvania, and Federal Bars and has been a Registered Patent Attorney for over 25 years. He has authored many articles for newspapers and technical journals and has taught Intellectual Property Seminars for the small business development centers for over 20 years at Eastern Florida State College, Small Business Development Center, and the University of Central Florida, as well as regularly speaking on intellectual property for the UCF Incubation program, and many inventor and author clubs over the years.

Mr. Steinberger has degrees in Industrial-Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, College of Engineering and a JD degree from Howard Law School.

​He has prosecuted over 1,400 patents in all areas of technology, more than 1,700 trademarks, and hundreds of copyrights in the U.S. and foreign countries, written and negotiated licensing agreements, and has litigated in many intellectual property cases.

Hilary F. Steinberger, Trademark Partner

Hilary F. Steinberger, a Florida licensed attorney for over 25 years and is licensed as a Registered Patent Attorney. She has been working at Steinberger IP Law (previously known as The Law Offices of Brian S. Steinberger, P.A.) for more than 17 years in a variety of capacities. She is now a partner in the law firm and specializes in U.S. trademarks. She is a member of both the Florida and Federal Bars.

​Mrs. Steinberger holds degrees in Chemistry with a dual major in Forensic Science from Quinnipiac University (University of New Haven) and a JD degree from Nova Southeastern University.
